Tailoring a treatment tracker for involuntary movement disorder management.
Expertise
Leveraging our extensive expertise in digital health, Nova partnered with the Digital Health team of a major pharmaceutical company to design a companion app. This app is tailored for patients beginning medication to reduce involuntary movements, supporting them to reach the correct dosage, track their progress, and access assistance throughout their treatment journey.
The Challenge
We worked closely with the internal design and development team to create a mobile experience that took into consideration the user’s physical and cognitive limitations due to their condition, having oversight of progress and encouragement through the app was critical in helping keep patients motivated and reassured that their treatment was improving their symptoms.
Our Solution
The Nova team successfully created a treatment management workflow that was clear, and also accounted for the many alternative outcomes that a patient may experience. Titration looks very different from patient to patient, and we needed to create a solution that had the flexibility to account for several scenarios, including restarting titration or receiving a new prescription from a prescriber.
